Why We Love Judith, the Bible heroine (And You Should, Too!)

There are moments when we give God deadlines for a prayer request or try to assume we understand how God operates. Times when we make promises thinking with our human strength, we could fulfil them.

What you need to know about the condition - Cerebral Palsy.

I recently visited a center with a group of friends, and this gave me insight into this post. I became more aware of the great blessing our muscles are to us. Without the muscles, a lot of things we take for granted will be a big deal. Looking at the beautiful kids who could neither stand nor feed themselves. Something as tiny as batting the eyelashes was hard and no control over their movements. Cerebral palsy (pronounced seh-ree-brel pawl-zee) commonly referred to as CP, is a condition where body movement and muscle coordination are greatly affected. It occurs while the child's brain is in development.

How to Get Through Negative Emotions.

Thoughts or feelings that we have little or no control over, flash through the mind at odd moments especially the negative ones. Trying to force them out will cause more harm than good, the major way to kill a negative emotion is to stop feeding it! Feelings of Inadequacy, low self - esteem, confusion, constant strive for perfection, pride and a whole lot more. We can get through these by - 1.  Acknowledge it - Living in denial may result in buried emotions, once it gets full, it out pours. In this case, eruption, becomes brutal. Some erupt in form of uncontrolled jealousy, moodiness, chaos in the mind, identity crisis. Acknowledge these negative emotions, dwelling there shouldn't be an option either. 2. Work backwards to the source of the negative emotion - could be rejection, inability to get a particular goal fulfilled, learning disability, comparison, parental issues. When this source has been identified, remind yourself constantly that you're not perfect

Dealing with Pain

Pain is meant to be emotional but nah, it is actually physical. Towards your chest region, you feel this burden or your chest keeps pounding because your thoughts won't let you be.  It's a cycle: The thoughts begin, the chest pounds, the memory keeps flipping pages and in some cases, you wish the event never happened. Another moment, you're glad it happened and then the feeling of being a victim is satisfying in its own way. Oops! Did I forget the eyes in the cycle, of course that's another physical form, this time not just about you but others realize you're in pain.  Can anyone ever understand how you hurt or feel? Not sure, similar cases, yes, but different people involved. I work in a place where you find mirrors in every corner. That should help, well, maybe. It helps you see your face while you cry, while the tears build up and you try to push your head backwards so you don't, in quote "Embarrass" yourself or you try to force

How Positive Self Talk Makes You Better.

Fast forward to the moment where you can retain happiness despite the situation or counter some wrong thought almost immediately. That's the future we want to dive into now! Every situation in life would be simple or hard depending on your mind set; we may not change some events but can control our reactions. The negative thoughts are super easy and convenient to create; there you have the blame game, self-pity, guilt or thought that a circumstance is punishment for past sins. The positive thoughts take a little step from your comfort zone to create, usually seem hard initially but have a lasting effect. That's where positive self-talk comes in , amongst all other forms of retaining happiness and sanity. This, maybe a simpler form but it's easier said than done.
